Did you here that there was concern when that plane hit a NY skyscrapper that A-Rod was flying it...until they realized A-Rod doesn't hit anything in October.....
me 2...but you have to think with the Hiring of Lou the Cubs have to try to win NOW........he wont settle for a middle of the road team, he will bash the front office publicly if the dont get the players, now that the Sox have more TV viewers than the Cubs for the 1st time, the Organization is quietly in an uproar over that........

I agree 100%....it's turned into a sox town via viewers and ratings...
I would still keel over if they KEEP Pierre, and sign either one of the two...but both would just make me faint.

If they are willing to spend (signing of Pinella sort of indicates that), AND they can make the trade for A Rod (I heard a deal with a Prior/Hill and minors package), AND then promise Soriano he can play second, AND they keep Pierre, they still would be short on pitching with Zambrano and others. But an infield of Ramirez, A Rod, Soriano, D Lee would be nice (not so great defensively), then Pierre, Jones and Pie in the outfield, the catcher ain't too bad either. But pitching would STILL be an issue no?
There is NOWAY in hell the Cubs trade Zambrano. Don't care what the deal is, he won't get traded. Atleast not for AROD, with Aramis in the deal. Maybe Hill, but he was impressive the last 2 months of the season....almost unhittable (wow, Rich Hill and unhittable in the same sentance....did I say that??), and I think the Cubs want to hold on to him if possible. Although, I do understand you have to give something up to get something, but if the Cubs give up one of their current starters, they will need to find 4 starters to fill out their rotation. Tough job.
