Just Saw The Line For The Neb-texas Game @ Tex-6.5. I Am A Big Neb Fan And Although I Think We Have A Shot I Really Expected This Line To Be Much Higher. Any Thoughts From The Members!!

Not too bad. Kurt Mann(C) just returned and has been strong for the O line. As with any team always room for improvement. D-line.... well the Blackshirts are pretty damn good. Linebackers are the strong point so if anything they are getting a little injury depleted. Neb needs relies on pressure from the line and blitzes to keep the cornerbacks from getting too stretched. As a whole I personally don't think we have seen what the skers are capable of. IMO

I thought the Sooners had a good shot at them as well. They kicked OU's butt pretty good in the trenches. If the H uskers D-line can do their job and let the linebackers make plays, then the h uskers can stay in the game. I don't know how many times I saw 4 of Texas o-linemen blocking our front 4 leaving one guy to make a clean block on our backers. That made for a long day. We also could never really put any pressure on McCoy and he can make plays if you give him time. The Texas secondary is very suspect, so if the O-line can give Taylor time to throw, Nebby just might pull off the upset. I like Nebby + the points at home in this one. Good luck!

I am also a big fan of the h uskers and also think they have a good chance of winning. My biggest concern is the H usker secondary Grixby, Jones, and Shanle couldn't get it done against USC and I believe Sweed for Texas is almost as good as Jarret for USC. Neb definitely relies on its front four to put pressure on the QB and that also did not work against USC as Booty had all day to pick apart the weak secondary. So if Cosgrove can come up with a slightly better plan I think the H uskers will be OK. As far as the Offense goes I think they will be able to move the ball. Not to harp on the USC game but Callahan can get stuck on a certain gameplan that is not working. For example, Nebraska insisting on running the ball with 8-10 guys in the box. Hopefully, Callahan and Cosgrove will have learned from that game. Good luck H uskers.

Texas front Offensive line is simply too good for Neb to close the gaping holes they open up, and the black shirts, won't have enough pressure to stop Txs from throwing, and Ne secondary is subjest to be exposed by Texas QB....
IMO---Texas is too strong for Ne to stop.......may be a close first 1/2, the Texas opens it up in the second----kapt

This Texas team is a fraud. Both decent teams it has played have dominated them statistically, and there hasn't been a more misleading score this year than Texas 28, OU 10.
I honestly believe these teams are pretty even in talent, and I'll take Taylor over McCoy (who has never taken a snap outside Texas) and Callahan over Brown. Shuckers win outright.Records:
