BCS Standings

I've never gone crazy over the BCS because there isn't anything I can do about, but I looked at the first standings and realized that something needs to be done. I'm looking at the number 25 team, Tulsa, who was crushed by BYU and barely beat Navy.

Yet in 3 of the 6 computer rankings, Tulsa is rated higher than LSU, Okahoma, MIssouri and Iowa.

Are you kidding me? How can you use computers that think Tulsa is better than SEC, Big 12 and Big Ten teams, in your formula?

First off, we are only half way through the season, so to expect these computer rankings to be 100% on-line with your standings is ridiculous..

Secondly, Tulsa barely beat Navy AT NAVY. Navy is 5-2. Margin of victory is not a part of computer rankings and Tulsa beat a good Navy team on the road.

Tulsa handily beat Southern Miss. Southern Miss is 5-2 with their only other loss being at Florida and with a convincing win over BCS team NC State.

Tulsa will most likely drop after handily beating 0-5 Mempthis this weekend, but in my opinion, it is refreshing to see a couple of non-BCS teams in a ranking system that is so incredibly biased towards the BCS conferences.
