The Under is now 60% the last 11 years when both teams are playing their first game of the season, as coaches tend to run more half court plays on opening night after concentrating so much on them in the pre-season practices. There is a subset of the opening night Unders that is now 44-17 Under and I have opinions on all 4 of the games that apply to that angle tonight.
Chicago at BOSTON Under
Houston at INDIANA Under 182 or higher
Milwaukee at PHILADELPHIA Under 182 or higher
Atlanta at NEW JERSEY Under 182 or higher
I also have 2 opinions on sides.
Dallas (-6) over MEMPHIS
Teams that were bad the previous season and open at home against a better team usually start the season with a loss and Memphis qualifies in a negative 9-23 ATS opening night home team angle based on that premise.
LA CLIPPERS (-11 1/2) over Cleveland
The Cavaliers were killed last night in Sacramento and could be the worst team in the league this season. Cleveland qualifies in a negative 8-28 ATS early season situation and I'll lean with the Clippers to take care of business tonight.
