  • Playing Money Line and Combination Parleys - This Works

Last week I played an eight team MoneyLine parley which paid over three dimes for a $300 bet. I gave back an thousand of it by hedging the Sunday night game, so I would still win something in case Pitt beat San Diego. The week before I played another eight team MoneyLine parley but I lost when Washington came back to beat Jacksonville. It would have paid 11 to 1, had it hit.

This week I'm trying something a little different. If you feel Cincinnati can beat Tampa Bay SU, Washington can beat Tennessee SU, Dallas can beat Houston SU, San Diego can beat San Francisco SU and Chicago will beat Arizona SU. If you do, here comes what I did.

Parley #1 - I played this five team M/L parley for $300 to win $506. I think I have a very good chance of picking these five winners StraightUp and will tell you why this is important. I am also playing three more parleys, each a mixture of SU and ATS plays.

    Parley #2 -
The five team MoneyLine parley above, PLUS Buffalo -1 and St. Louis +3. Playing this for $200 will return $1643.

    Parley #3 -
The same seven teams in Parley #2, PLUS Carolina +3. Playing this for $150 will return $2253.

    Parley#4 -
All eight teams, the five on the MoneyLine plus the three ATS. Playing this for $100 will return a big payback of $1743.

This will not work unless you feel confident all five MoneyLine teams will hit. When they do, you collect $506 which is more than enough to pay for the other three parleys. Even if you lose the other three parleys, you still are ahead $56 and had the chance to hit three big paydays.

How much you risk is up to you but you should keep everything in the same ratios. For example, you can play the main all Money Line parley for $30, then play the other three parleys for $20, $15 and $10 in that order. This way Parley #2 will pay
$164 and the other two, $225 and $174. Good Luck if anyone trys this with me Sunday.

It sounds really good Sanford but i don't understand the difference between parlays 3 and 4, aren't they both 8 teamers, the 5 ML and 3 spread plays?

    #2- 5 ML, Buffalo -1, StL +3
    #3- Parlay 2 + Carolina +3, or 5ML + Buffalo + StL + Carolina
    #4- 5 ML + 3 spread plays, or 5ML + Buffalo + StL + Carolina
    or, same as parlay #3

Except you have different payback ratios for #3 and #4, 2253/150 or 15.02 for #3, and 17.43 for #4... is there something i'm not seeing?

A highly unsolicited opinion from you...........

Just go in here, and wish him good luck..........

You make the statements emphatic, like they're gospel, not even a hint of here's my opinion, just blatantly stating he's going the wrong way, bookies will love him, save your money, not to mention the last one............the only way to ever see it again, etc..............

No style to that post, nor respect for his picks, and methods of wagering..........totaly classless IMO, and I wonder who made you the ALL MIGHTY TEACHER of this group.......

slack off a bit with , not necessarily knowledge, but, never wrong and extremely strong opinions, as if they were Gospel.....kapt

No, you are right. Sanford dosen't know shit. I fired Sanford. Of the three straight plays, I liked Carolina the least. The $200 seven team parley was for everything EXCEPT Carolina, which is what I wanted.

The $150 seven team parley was for everything (inc. the three SU plays) EXCEPT the Chicago night game. I screwed up and forgot to say Chicago was not in this parley. The Bears are the one SU play that scared me a little, playing a Sunday Night home dog.

And guys, thanks for setting Robber John straight. I don't know what he was thinking, since I hit my 8 team parley last week, which was enough to cover what I did today for four Sundays even if I lost every play. He can come back in five weeks and then tell me I'm stupid.

I agree with the ML parlays. I really, really liked the Redskins, Bears and Chargers to win SU. What I did since week 1 is put my ats winner and parlayed it with some ML winners I feel will win. This week I have Oregon ducks-9, Redskins ML, Bears ML, Chargers ML. I put up $100, payoff is $300, the same with Hawaii -4 + the 3 NFL ML teams above for the same payout. The hardest part is over with Oregon and Hawaii winning ats, so now I'm just pulling for some ML winners. With the NFL getting a bit harder to cap as the weeks go by, it gives me something to root for on NFL sunday. All my college plays were parlayed with the 3 NFL ML teams mentioned above. So far it has worked out great for me, hopefully it continues.

i agree sandman. for years, i felt teasers and parlays were doomed, but that was 5-6 years ago at the heigth of parity. now the good teams are sooooo much better than the shitty teams, its worth taking them instead of fighting 3-6 pt spreads between teams that you have no clue of who will show up week to week.

tk808. I hope your three M/L plays all hit because if they don't, I will lose all four of my parleys. I've been doing what you did for sometime. I'll add one or two Money LIne plays to my SU play and it's amazing how much that increases the payoff, usually it doubles it. Like this afternoon, adding Pitt and San Diego SU to whatever side you are playing, instead of risking 110 to win 100, you can risk a 100 to win 203.
