Where do they think the ball hit? There looks to be at least 3 feet between the fence and the back wall.

I understand Shea's not a hitters park for power. It doesn't explain the poor batting average.Originally posted by rented muleWhat could it be, though? I doubt he's pressing at Shea. He has an MVP type season and the fans loved him this year. Shea is not a hitters park, so that would account for the difference in the power numbers between home and road.

It's spelled HGHOriginally posted by rented muleI know it's unfortunate to think this way, but when I see Pujols stand in the box and see how immense his quads are, it makes me wonder how they have gotten so big. His legs are unnaturally huge.
I'm sure it's just protein powder, though.

Mets blew this game due to two reasons. Their lack of ability to throw strikes and not getting batters out when they were ahead in the count.
Mota was 0-2 to Spiezo. Wagner was 0-2 to Taguchi.
In general a piss poor pitching performance by the Mets.

Mets had many opportunities to put this game away. When you let a team hang around they'll usually come back to beat you. That's exactly what happened tonight.Originally posted by weazel079Mets let this crucial game get away from them. Now we got a series.

definately 2-0 with Carpenter not pitching till game 6 would've been lights out. I missed a lot of the game anyway Randolph could've worked the bullpen better or was it just bad pitching? How many more titles will the Yankees try to buy it never ends.
