zumaya status for friday

reports out of detroit say joel zumaya will possibly pitch if needed friday, he was told the soreness in his wrist was tendinitis from gripping the ball too tight. if he can pitch effectively we can probably say good-bye to the oakland a's.

Are you saying if he can't pitch effectively the Tigers are in trouble?

I do not think it matters as much as if the Tigers were down in the series... I think the others in the pen will be able to hold the fort down...
