Actually, the local guy here that covers the Cubs (Bruce Levigne) said that the list goes

#1) Pinella
#1A) Bochy
2)Girardi

Maybe just leverage by the cubs, but who knows. As a die hard fan and season ticket holder, I'd prefer Girardi or Bochy....just want someone younger than Pinella.

he will never be a cub manager.............The cubs will only hire a person who will not challange management..Pineela would rip the upper management publicly....so hes out of the question....

I honestly don't think Lou would take this job. When Torre was going to be out, I'm thinking he was just going to use the cubs against the yankees. Now that Torre is staying, I don't see Lou really considering the Cubs. He wants to go to a team that can win right away, and right now, the Cubs are not set up for that. Too many holes, too many young guys.
