  • NFL Information Spreadsheet

    Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I have a pretty nice information tool that I put together for the NFL games. It is a spreadsheet that I made to track various stats for each team. There is one tab in the sheet for each week and another tab for each team. I spent about 30-40 hours pre-season setting up tons of formulas on each page so that each week I just have to go in on each team page and update a few columns and it calculates who covered, the over/under, and their stat averages, and that only takes about an hour. Feel free to check it out:

    http://www.nkypoker.org/Wk6.xls

Here is what the column headers mean:

Line – Line for that team that week (Note it is listed for each team, as when I enter it there it updates the team pages automatically)
Tot – Total for the week
    W – SU Wins
    L – SU Losses
    AW – ATS Wins
    AL – ATS Losses
O – Number of games that went over the total
U – Number of games that went under the total
OpW – Wins of the teams that they have played so far. If it’s a division team (i.e. Miami and New England), it’s only counted once.
OpL – Losses of the teams that they have played so far. If it’s a division team (i.e. Miami and New England), it’s only counted once.
H/R W – Home or Road Wins. It automatically pulls home for the home if they are home or road if they are away.
H/R L – Home or Road Losses. It automatically pulls home for the home if they are home or road if they are away.
PF – Points For per game average
PA – Points Allowed per game average
PF H/R – Points For home or road as it applies
PA H/R – Points Allowed home or road as it applies
Yds – Total Yards Gained per game
YdsA – Total Yards Allowed per game
PYF – Passing Yards For per game
PYA – Passing Yards Against per game
RYF – Rushing Yards For per game
RYA – Rushing Yards Against per game
TO – Average numbers of Turnovers commited per game
TK – Average numbers of Takeaways per game

It is protected so as to avoid an accidental typing in a cell that would mess up the formulas. I’ve used this with some pretty decent success so far in the NFL. It’s info you could find elsewhere, but here it’s all condensed on one sheet for each week and there is no clicking from page to page. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I was going to release it to everyone for free this week, but if anyone wanted to get the updated version every Tuesday the rest of the year, I was going to charge $15 for the whole rest of the season. Obviously I’m not trying to make a killing off of this or anything, but by the end of the year I will have over 50 hours invested in it and I figured my time was at least somewhat valuable, haha.

Anyone, please feel free to give me any feedback and let me know if you would be interested in getting it for the rest of the year! Thanks!

It should be fine for all using Excel. Let me know if you are having issues and I can email it to you as well.

It is protected in terms of trying to type on it or hiding formulas, but shouldn't be encrypted at all for Excel. Thanks.
