  • If I hear one more great thing about McNair.....

I am so sick of hearing about McNair I could puke. Coming into tonight's game he basically ad two good drives all year. Yes, they were last minute game winners, so give him credit. However, if he hadn't sucked so bad the first three and a half quarters, he wouldn't have had all those "great" comebacks.

His QB rating coming into tonight's game was 75.1, and after tonight it is probably in the low 60's. He has 5 TD and 6 INTs in 5 games.

    He's super.

Why don't we talk about how overrated Ben Rothlesburger is? He had the lowest QB rating of any Suberbowl QB and has been just as bad this year.....He best pick it up or the Steeler's will go from first to last...

Roth won thanks to great defense, offensive line and pretty decent wr's, rb's, head coach and Colts falling asleep for most of their game. Steelers won SB in spite of him not cause of him any other QB done that.

Big Ben sucked it up in the Super Bowl but he did play very well in the AFC championship game.

It's not like he had nothing to do with the title run. He's a good QB and very valuable to their team.

Remember what happened when Tommy Maddox started those games when Ben was out last season?

I used to think Ben was what made that team, but watching him the last few games has really made me wonder. He's NOT playing well. They need to turn it around and fast....Mcnair is interesting. I think he has made a difference in Baltimore. But he's not perfect, that's for sure. The Raven's are doing it as they did when they won the SB. With defense and a QB that doesn't make too many mistakes. Altho he made some tonight. But the weather certainly made it difficult for either QB.....

he made some poor decisions I thought he was gonna retire after last year but he's not that old.

I do agree Roethlisberger is overhyped, but I at least understand that on some level. The guy's win/loss record was ridiculous coming into the season. Hiss QB rating was also right around 100.00 the last two years, which probably put him in the top 5 in the NFL. I don't even like the guy much, but before I throw him under the bus this year let's not forget dud is coming of a bad motorcycle wreck and had an appendectomy a couple weeks ago. It isn't like a slow start shouldn't be expected.

I just put the post up after watching last night's game, and hearing the announcers gushing about McNair, and how he has lead them. He hasn't been very good at all, so that was annoying me.

McNair has definitely made a difference in Baltimore. However, last night he fucked up twice. INT and shitty pass when going for the TD which was also the receivers fault.

Any qb is only as good as his offensive line. If the team is proficient at running the ball, their passing game will work well. If the qb has adequate time, he will be successful. Roethlesburger had lots of time last year, and has not had adequate time this year.

McNair made a couple of bad decisions last night, but the weather was bad, and it got to the point where he was just trying to make something happen.

Judge a Qb over his full body of work.....In reality this is BEn's preseason....He has had no reps under fire (game conditions) due to his accident and appendectomy.....Qb' are also apt to have bad games.......They are also missing Randle-El who was able to keep defenses more on their heels due to his versatility....

As far as McNair goes he had a bad game...I am sure denvers defense had something to do with that.....Everybody always wants to pile on a guy, but there are 11 other guys (who happen to be very good) looking to thwart his effort.....I do not think Baltimore was looking for him to come in and be a big gunslinger, but a leader to command their offense.....He will be fine....It is already a huge improvement from last year....

Why does everyone think you can be Elway every game....

Also how good is Champ Bailey that trade for Portis definately worked out for them, shut down corners hard to find.
Denver produces decent Rb's all the time it seems.
Terrell Davis, Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell I'm sure there are more they draft really well.

Denver's D is very good, and TTT is right, they had a lot to do with McNair sucking, but that INT he threw right before the half in the endzone is/was inexcusable!! That is not a throw a 10 year vet should ever make!! Now, I had Denver and the under so I was happy, but WOW, that was bad! You have to know the situatuion (right before half), AND you half to know that even 3 points was HUGE in that game! I just couldn't believe he made that throw!

I still think Baltimore made the right move in getting McNair. This will pay off in the long run.

Part of that INT was the WR fault for not cutting in sooner.
