IMO it can be Grossman. How can you penalize him because he plays with a great defense?

The Bears are 5-0. He's 4th in QB rating. He's completed 61.2% of his passes. He's 6th in passing yards. TD 10, INT 3

At this point of the season I'd select McNabb over Grossman but Grossman deserves consideration.

3 pages and no mention of Ladanian Tomlinson. IMO, it's between him and McNabb right now.

They showed last night that they can win without numbers from him. Maybe Rivers is more deserving at this point. He played very well!

grossman slightly ahead of mcnabb right now.......he has one fewer touchdown pass than the entire bears team of last yr and they've only played 5 gms......This bear team is much more dominant than their team of last season and rex is a huge part.....If orton were still under center they'd be averaging 9 pts per game

Does anyone actually believe he is more valuable to his team than defensive teammates Tommie Harris, Alex Brown, Brian Urlacher, etc??

That team wins with its defense not Grossman.

The MVP right now is McNabb as he carries his team, which is not a legit Super Bowl contender and would be nothing without him.

STaylor...be careful...you don't want us to pull up all of your quotes about the Skins prior to the start of the season, do you?

But I was right about Rex Grossman not being the most valuable player in the NFL....

For 30 minutes you are right...still a lot of football left. But I agree with you...imo, he is a middle of the road QB, at best.

But can we please go back to some of those other quotes?

What it is, is that the Bears are not playing Bear ball. I don't know what to think about this gun slinging offense. They need to run the ball to set up the pass. They just keep comming out throwing the ball and it's been killing them. Grossman is a good QB make no mistake about it, but he's a bit of a gun slinger and that I don't like.

Grossman might not win MVP but one bad game does not lose the MVP. Same as one great game won't win it.

Why not say Big Ben had a monster game yesterday, he's the front runner for the award.

While were at it. McNabb had an average game yesterday. He's no longer in contention.

You're going to gloat based on one bad performance?

In my opinion most valuable means to his team and Steve Smith means more to carolina than i think any other person playing in the nfl.Without Smith first 3 weeks carolina offense sucked. Now they have the big playmaker deep threat and it opens up the entire offense.
