Nailed that big under in the Yankee game yesterday and onto today now...
Those bats really seemed to have some life in them yesterday... and thanks to Arod the Yankees let one slip away and stay under the number. He was not the only one who didnt come up big, but that first inning was HUGE! Thanks Arod!
For today I am liking the over 9. I think the teams are back into the swing of things now and without a long layover from the night before. Again, the bats looked alive and I do not see either pitcher being dominant tonight. Rogers has not been a big game pitcher and Randy has shown just how old and aching his body is. Look for the bullpens to get called in for extensive work in this one and that means a rough go of it for the Yankees the rest of the series and into next week. This game defines the postseason for the Yankees as they need Johnson to go deep into this game or face possibly 2 more games in 2 days with their only hope of an off day coming on Monday.
The Tigers bullpen is better than the Yankees and it showed yesterday. They came in and did a stellar job! The Yankees have had problems in the past with pitchers who can get their fastball in the mid to high 90's(Fransisco Rodriguez has nasty stuff but killed them a few years back when he first came in the league with the fastball 95 to slider mid 80s) This relief core in Detroit is the same way. Better bullpen pulls them to a win today, but after extensive work.
