Game thoughts for S Miss @ Tulsa

Ive not really looked at the game but my lean is on Tulsa but still up in the air and getting more info reading about each team.


Any thoughts about the game tonite. If you have some good info for tonite feel free to drop your two dimes.

USM's freshman QB is NOT Dustin Almond. He makes poor decisions and should be good for a few picks if he's forced to throw much. Tulsa's first shot in primetime tv game..and at home. I like Tulsa too.

If I'm remembering correctly, Tulsa has covered in all but one so far. And, that one was against B.Y.U. Tulsa is traditionally very tough at Skelly Stadium. My book has Tulsa-4.5 for -114 I like it. May even buy the half point.

remenber.....s miss has a very good defense.....when it came down to it they had ...3...qb sacks to close the game...tulsa also has a good defense.....UNDER

Didn't he graduate yet? He seems to be around forever...him and the Houston QB Kolb...both on the 8 yr plan.

He did graduate. And to correct myself, I think the kid that is now starting at QB is not a frosh, but a soph or junior with no game experience before this year. and as i predicted, the first pick has been thrown.

CT, I remember watching them when Almond was a Soph...he was awful and got pulled from a game that was on ESPN and this true Frosh comes in, runs and throws all over the place and the place was going crazy...he would be a Senior now...do you know who I am talking about and what happened to him?

Not sure, I checked their roster and they have 1 FR, 2 soph, and 2 jr's listed as QB's. He may have transferred or quit. I remeber the game but can't recall his name.

or it could be one of the 2 jr QB's (Young or Reaves) if they redshirted after that year. I don't see why USM hasn't played the lefty (Reaves) all along. He's much more accurate than Young.

This game is BORING!! I need Tulsa to score then USM to score and successfully go for 2, then get it to OT, swap scores in the first OT, and then get a Tulsa score and defensive stop in the second OT. Is that asking too much? I took Tulsa and over and parlayed the two. I forgot the cardinal rule...Never chase losses in the poker room with a weeknight CFB game.
