Because it is over $10000, JBC is right, get 2 checks for smaller amounts...

What are the drawbacks (if any) of doing it thru Neteller?

none... they send it to your neteler account and then you send it to your bank account from neteller.

I emailed pinnacle and asked them to send a check for $7500 and the balance to Neteller.

I'm thinking of getting a check for $5,000 and sending the other $5,000 thru Neteller.

But if there's no drawbacks to Neteller why not just send the whole thing thru them?

you could send it all to neteller but dont transfer over 10K back to your bank account at one time.

I guess I'll just send 5K thru neteller and the other 5K in a check.

                  Thanks for the advice guys.

I'm not a particularly big bettor, at least compared to some of the heavy hitters on BC.

Seeing a 5 digit number in my pinnacle account is comical to me.

                    Thank you Ryan Howard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great post and i second that. Had over $20,000 won in my acct after the NCAA tourney-never withdrew a dime and ended up giving it all back both times.

                          nice hit!

Others have said this but DO NOT take a check for 10-K. Ask for two separate checks and Make sure they are cashier's checks.

By all means, though, get the money out now unless you are someone that needs to have that kind of money in your account. I lost money at Millenium in the BoS shutdown and a few other books will probably close within the next few months because of the internet bill.

                            My Money Was There

I've been gone all day and the first thing I just did was to check my account, with fingers crossed, to see if my $10,000 was in there. It was and I thank Pinnicle for not playing games with us and paying us right away.

Taylor and Jackal. I was told, back before the internet and when the locals always paid in hundred dollar bills, to never deposit more than $10,000 in cash at a time. Also, I know from friends, that anyone at the racetrack who wins more than $5,000 at a time, has to fill out and sign a form (I think its a 1099 form) that is sent to the IRS, which means you would have to show that amount as income on your taxes.

I just moved $6,000 from my Pinny account to my Neteller account. In a day or two, I'm moving the other $4,000 to Neteller. I'm lucky I already had a couple thousand already in my Pinnicle account. Just to be safe, I already asked Neteller to transfer $4,000 to my checking account and in a day or two, I'm moving another $3,500 to my checking account and the rest later on. I did just spend a dime on the Oakland A's to win their first division series against the Twins at +158. I just cannot see the A's blowing another division series, especially with the pitching they have, both starters and bullpen, although Houston Street is still their closer.

I don't think it would be a problem to transfer $10,000 at one time from Neteller because it's not shown as cash, but why take a chance. Also, Neteller is in Canada and one of the islands, so they don't tell the IRS anything ever. I'm happy for both of you, especially Taylor because so many of his friends won something too. Good advice Tony.
