Other than your reason for being a Miami fan that's fucking weak.

You say you're from Florida, and root for the Hurricanes but like the Cowboys b/c Emmitt played for UF?

Jesus, if you can be a fan of any NFL team who has a star player that played his college ball at a Florida school, doesn't that pretty much cover every team in the NFL?

And don't like 20 teams have spring training down in Florida?

    Whatever.

    Weak.

Cowboys/Yankees fan= sellout in my mind.

Yeah I'm an inbred. My inbred family has Redskins season tickets.

I'm just saying I think it's weak to be a fan of the Yankees and Cowboys, especially when you're not even from Texas or New York. Really, really fucking weak.

Maybe I'll just start rooting for Duke basketball. I went to Georgetown-Duke game one time. I've been to Yankee Stadium too, went there on a trip with my family when I was a kid. I guess that makes me a Yankees fan too.

Whoa Doc... I'm not criticizing you at all here man. I realize there are true Yankees fans all over the country and true Cowboys fans all over the country.

I'm talking specifically about TMac, not because I think he's a bad guy or anything, he seems perfectly nice, but because I consider him a front runner for being a fan of the Yankees AND Cowboys when he is from Florida. Throw in rooting for the U, and that is a whole lot of championship celebrations for one man.

I'm not sure you can really be a "die hard" Yankees tho man haha. Try being a Redskins fan whose just too young to remember the first Joe Gibbs era but old enough to remember going to the stadium every other week during the Norv Turner and Steve Spurrier eras. It hasn't always been pretty.

But I'll be there again on Sunday rooting for my boys. Like always.

And I'll be joining you and TMac this October in rooting for the Yankees as I bet on them to win the World Series a few weeks back.

              Go Yanks!

I'm a Canes fan, and it's downright pathetic how far Coker has brought this team down. I actually told my friends to take the points, and to also put a little on the money line. I actually expected UM to lose.

The team has pretty much quit on Coker. As long as people keep thinking Miami is the same old team, the betting lines will be off, and as a result, it will be easy money betting against the canes.

I agree with this post.. I figured that they wouldnt cover like i told my buddy but i didnt think that they would lose this game.. Yes it really does look like this team has quit on him. No energy what so ever last night.. Hell even the announcer said looks like these 2 teams need energized your on national tv show a little energy.. Maybe at years end we will get what we want and get Coker's ass outta there.. He is a good coach dont get me wrong but cant recruit worth a damn and thats where the national titles start is in the recruiting wars...

Mac, I disagree that Coker is a good coach. He was probably the right man for a job for a ready made team in 2001, but he is not a good coach.

He's not a great motivator, he's area of expertise on this team has been downright pathetic, and there are no second half adjustments whatsoever being made with this team.

Miami may not be as talented as they were when he first inherited the team, but let's be honest, how many teams are. If you need that type of talent to be successful ( once in a generation talent), then you're just a terrible coach.

I am not sur ei agree with him being a good coach. He routinely gets outplayed in the 2H of games...last night being the lone exception in a very long time. His offense is unimaginative and his defense relies heavily on athletes to make plays.

As for the lack of energy...you are right...they need to bring a little more excitement. But the fan base should be knocked a bit on that too. Unless it is a big game, they run 1000's of empty seats. A bunch of Johnny Come Latelys....

Jack, the thing is, the fans have ALWAYS been like that. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to give the fans a pass, but this fan excitement thing with regards to player emotions was not a problem for any of the other coaches.

Funny thing is, as pathetic as the overall attendance was ( I want to say it was 36000) the people that were there were actually trying to get into the game. It's hard to do so, however, with that pathetic display.
