Someone has to. There are a lot of reasons I like South Florida. They are at home where they play much better than away. They are 32-8 SU their last 40 home games. They still have players suspended and have to use a freshman QB, but he has been a big surprise who can both run and throw. He is 62 of 104 passes (59.6 percent) for 843 yards and six touchdowns, while rushing for 279 yards and two scores in the first four games.
Rutgers has played a weak schedule and South Florida is the best team they will have faced so far this season. Taken from Scores and Odds, Average power rating of opponents played: RUTGERS 18.2, S FLORIDA 22.
83% of the money bet at sportsbook.com is on Rutgers so far, yet most of the latest line moves have gone down from Rugers -4 to -3.5. Back in 2004 South Florida was on National TV, their last time I think, playing Memphis at home as a dog and won the game SU. I know Rutgers is rated, but geez, who have they beaten. Illinois and North Carolina dosen't mean much.
