Not a bad day yesterday going 5-1 with the only loser being the Tigers... That was some offensive outburst in Colorado yesterday and the Jays helped out by hitting the over.. Dead on with that Houston play as I said it would be 4-0 and I'll take the 3-0 victory any day.. Onto Tonight
I will say it now... I am a degenerate and will take action on almost anything I can get... so I will play this meaningless day game today... well meaningless for almost all but one player...
I feel Carlos Zambrano has a shot at the NL CY Young award... he is 16-6 on the year for a horrendous ball club with over 200 strikeouts... Josh Fogg has been very inconsistant in his last few starts and that Rockies pen is coming off a 19-11 shelling yesterday at the hands of the Dodgers... That series was actually very straining on the Rockies pen as they logged 13 1/3 innings over the past 3 days and gave up 10 runs twice...
The Cubbies are 3-2 in their last 5, but the two losses were by 1 run each... They have been in every game and playing better baseball recently... Again another high price but I feel there are two plays here... Cubs ML -190 4 units, and Cubs -1.5 Even 1 unit
For sh!ts and giggles lets try a 4 team parlay as well for 1 unit.. Risking $100 to win $1115
Chris Capuano +110 Brew Crew( Cards struggling as of late and do not think they can handle the pressure... plus this is the much worse Weaver)
Erik Bedard -110 Orioles( Cant stand Julian Tavarez as a starter and the Red Sux have long since given up on the year)
Ervin Santana -140 Angels(He is a stud and the Athletics have locked up their 3rd place finish in the AL with no room for improvement; rest some regulars and let the subs face this kid)
Boof Bonsor -120 Twins( Can their rotation with all the rookies get any better? White Sox gave up on their season beginning of the week and have been resting some regulars... do not see them being too into this series while the Twins have a divison title to play for!)

While Rutgers is the feel good pick of the day, South Florida is the play here... their Quarterback is young and makes a lot of plays for this offense... while the Rutgers defense has been solid, they have not faced a good offensive attack yet... they have only played one game on the road and North Carolina is not my idea of a solid football team...
This game comes down to defense and both teams are pretty solid in this department... The South Florida run defense will shut down Ray Rice... The Scarlet Knights Quarterback is nothing special and I am not sure he can come up in a big spot when he is forced to be the main playmaker... This is his first year as a starter and I do not see Rutgers making it past this game undefeated...
