they are terrible...SC has to be one of the worst offensive teams in D1 and Auburn is making them look like BYU earlier tonight...brutal...I hope SC wins.

Laying a "HUGE EGG" would have been losing. I think all they showed was that if they face a team with a QB that can run they might be in trouble. They had no problems moving the ball, they converted countless 3rd and 4th downs. I don't know if they didn't expect that dude in there, or what but to say they laid a huge egg is a bit excessive, especially considering they were never behind in that game.1 = $25

I agree with you Vondie...going into South Carolina and winning is not laying a huge egg. Outside of the on-sides kick, TT played it conservatively and didn't put his QB in a position to lose the game. He played to his strength. Defense and running the football. It wasn't impressive but he is #2 in the country...he just needs to win.Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

Your right, I thought they would crush that team, but to say they laid a huge egg is absurd. i still don't think they looked that bad, they just ran into a team that was pumped up and was able to move the ball. That game is much different if that clown defender doesn't get the ball striped and give SC a chance to go down a get a late 1st half TD. so that was a break for SC an they carried that into the 2nd half even though they didn't touch the ball till the 4th quarter....SC's D is their strength, I was just surprised SC was able to move the ball. That does not however consitute auburn falling from the national rankings because steve spurrier was able to score 17 points on you in a loss1 = $25

Auburn Over rated ???????? time will tell
S Car under rated---probably---time will tell---I think it's just a fact of the SEC being such a tough conference---and it was a home game for S Car, Road for Auburn........
Spurrier once more, and he has done so many times in the past, showed his offensive capabilities as a Head Coach---great Job by Spurrier getting his team ready for Aub....
His move to the 2nd string QB, due to his running abilities, was an excellent move.......QB showed great running skills, his passing was accurate as hell, and he made some Sr. type decisions........I think this QB will be #1, for the rest of the season, and future........
SC outplayed the Tigers......A dropped passs for TD by tight end, had it been caught, it could have been a different story (ending).......Auburn was lucky to prevail, but they won on the road, against a good SC team, and therefore their ratings shouldn't be affected........
What I can't understand is why Auburn, who was passing the ball quite effectively, (3rd qtr), got ahead by 14, and then decideced to play, how not to lose, instead of how to win.....I think Aub got ultra conasevative after the 14 pt lead......
SC's defense is also tough.....better than I thought they were.....In essence, I completely had the wrong side here, as I've had on many a game......I enjoyed the game, thought it also showed some parity, and also the strength of the SEC as a whole......
If this game did anything for me, and I feel it should have for others, is prove to the dis believers, that the SEC is indeed a STRONG (strongest IMO) Conference.........
SC out of the SEC, rated as low as they aRE, PLAYING LIKE THIS, AND WITH NEW DOUBLE THREAT qb, CAN HANG WITH A LOTS OF TOP rATED TEAMS FROM OTHER CONFERENCES......
I reiterate, I blew the call here, underestimated Spurriers coaching abilities, and his teams, however; this in no way will affect Auburns ratings, but more so, I'd hate to play em a week after this game.......
TIME WILL TELL------ratings are the most ARGUEMENTATIVE subject in NCAA FootBall.......
PS---10 people could have seen that game, and I'll guarantee you'll get 10 different versions of what if, what could've been, what should've been, and how I would have done it, etc.....
This ones in the past, lets lock and load for the future----Tomorrow----kaptLast edited by Kaptain; 09-29-2006, 01:55 PM.
