I know what he meant and my point remains the same. It doesn't matter how hot or cold you are coming in but you still need pitching to Win. As a fan of baseball, i don't see that as a world series capable pitching staff ... I just don't. Who is the Ace? Glavine, the crafty lefty? Followed by and aging and not scary Hernandez & Trachsel??? ... SCARY (IMO)!

They better hope to out MASH everyone to win!

The NL is scary as is the Mets starting staff but they ran away with the NL basically without Pedro since May 1. Emotionally, this is a huge loss but they got to where they are without him, they can get to the World Series without him too. The fact they can do so is more of an indictment of the NL then it is the talent on the Mets squad. And I would be more concerned if there bullpen hadn't been one of the best in baseball all year. Offensively, they are as good as any NL team too, if not the best.
