Nhl!!!!

Where are all the nhl fan's out? i know theres not many but there must be a few....I was actually a bigger hockey fan than football fan believe it or not before the lockout. When they locked out i didn't think it would affect me but it really did. I didn't watch too much hockey last season and did not find the new rules entertaining for me. The thing that I always loved was that NHL wasn't mainstream, it wasn't a casual sport, it was there for the die hards, and while sometimes the holding got out of control I loved those 2-1, 1-0 games. 8-7 games really do not entertain me much. I feel as though it was too easy last year. Maybe with time things will level out, and a 3-2, 4-3 game will be the norm. That being said what are your all's thoughts about the upcoming season? Cup fav? MVP? Surprising moves? Clearly I am die hard flyers and what i'm hearing about our team is not very positive. I am very VERY sad about the loss of primeau....he was def my fav flyer. Now we have big dumb slow defensemen but I love our goaltending and I think we have tons of goal scorers. Gagne is a stud, we have the young guns carter and richards, and in net is nittymaki (spell check) and esche.

Got the Sports Illustrated Preview issue today, and they had my Sabres winning the Eastern Conference and losing to the Ducks in the Finals. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that they are being so highly touted.
I completely agree about the high scoring games, I really hope it sort of goes back down.

Obviously I'm not crazy about the Flyers, but I think Nittymaki might turn into something special. He and Miller should be representing the East in the All-Star game for the next 5-10 years.
