I realize anything can happen in then playoffs and short series, but as much as a Sox diehard I hate to admit it, I don't think anyone will beat the Yankees;the team is just too strong.
Personally I don't believe they will lose more than 2 games total in entire Al Playoffs and probably just a game or 2 tops in the WS.

I know Red Sox fans might call me a traitor, and I hope I am dead wrong, but boy if they don't win it this year, they never will.
How do you folks see it?
I thought bumping this thread would be apropos in light of Savage's current thread. Ironically, on the same topic. Savage has strong unwavering opinions. He allows his stubbornness to interfere with his rational judgment.

For those that don't remember. The Yanks after winning their opening playoff game the Tigers then swept the next 3 games.

All I can say is in my opinion, you had better hope you play Oakland in the first round and that somehow Twins defeat Yanks(I think they have a better chance than do Tigers 1% against 0% lol)-then you have a great chance of winning the WS.
              Another of Savage's misconceived opinions.

Kinda reminds me of your AL dominance theory

It's a scenario that's repeated season after season.

What happens during the season doesn't mean shit in the playoffs.
                    I'll reiterate!

What happens during the season doesn't mean shit in the playoffs including meaningless AS game results and interleague play.

Anyone can point to an example or two? Are you always right and have you always been right about things?
You know for a guy who accuses people of being stubborn, you are pretty stubborn and arrogant yourself-example-such as your silly notion of telling people NEVER to buy 1/2 points in the sports when PLENTY of successful gamblers do it and are successful doing it.
Just because your stats show that buying points are not profitable doesn't mean that some gamblers know when it is wise and not wise to do so.
Oh yes, in the NBA championship this year, one should have probably bet the Lakers in the NBA finals at Minus 200 even though Celts had a winning record against the the West as a whole and handily beat the Lakers twice during the season-yeah, I know those stats are irrelevant too.
If you think that the dominance of the AL over the NL in interleague games for a number of years, is meaningless and All Star Games doesn't indicate that AL is a BETTER league with better teams and better players, then it is YOU who is at least as stubborn as me-no blind is a better term in describing your perception of things.

He was referring me to me....that was a helluva Tiger team on a roll and very young.

They traded their youth for some fat and old veterans and now struggle around .500....not sure what wouldve happened if the Tigers didnt have to wait a week to start the World Series but I dont think they wouldve lost 4-1.

With that said the Tigers are not out of it this year.

                          PEACE

LMAO @ Fat old veteran. Every sports writer and so called expert were ready to hand the WS trophy to Tigers after they traded for Cabrera and Willis.
