I am in an Action Points league(one is free, one was $50 to enter). I sit in 5th place in one with 65 points after 3 weeks and am looking forward to this weeks games.
Just quickly looking and trying to figure out the best games,
Am I the only one who thinks the 49ers can go into Kansas City and actually win? The 9ers have been able to put up some points this season averaging over 23 per game. Their defense allows around 24 per game, but this is a team with no quarterback and their best receiver this year is their running back. I think San Fransisco can keep it close and pull out a win in the end making for at the very least a +8 points in the contest.
Second team I am contemplating is Houston. I am a Dolphin fan and I only bet against my teams, never on them. They are showing signs of being one of the worst teams in football right now and I do not know if the road is the place to straighten out all their problems. David Carr has had an amazing start to the year, and I can honestly see a 7-10 point Houston victory here as long as he doesnt throw 3 interceptions which is quite capable.
The third game I am pondering over is actually a toss up between the heavily favored Eagles or the Panthers. WHile the Panthers have not shown much in the first few games, they return home to face a New Orleans team on a short week off the most emotional win for them in about 10 years. This seems like the classic let down situation for them, but 7 points is a big number to cover against a team brimming with confidence and finally has a quarterback. The Eagles on the other hand are 10 point favorites and they have looked great except for one quarter against the Giants. I do not see them having a problem with Green Bay's defense especially at home and on Monday Night. That seems like the time Favre shines the brightest though and I would need a 17-20+ point victory for this to be a very good play.
Any insights onto this would be most appreciated. Any comments about my thoughts on these games is most appreciated as well.... Thanks Guys
