I think he might be the most overrated player in the history of the NFL. No I did not bet him tonight. He might be one of the best athletes but he is the second best qb on that team. Schaub is a way better qb when will he get his chance. Vick should have been a slash since day one. He will never win anything as a qb and would be the best WR on thier team. He stinks plain and simple.

Why Is It That Qb's With His Style Never Go To The Next Level?????????? Yes They Make Some Part Of The Game Exciting With All That Scrambling But The Greats Remember The Importance Of Finding The Open Man Is The Main Goal, It Is The "playground Mentality" That Is Their Demise And Will Continue To Be.............................

he is probably the most hyped guy in history.....If any other qb had his stats he would be on the bench.....but he gets style points i suppose for running 50 yards to gain 7 .......I do not get it though......When they force him to beat you...he can not.....Fun to watch....I suppose...but i would rather watch a guy who can beat the saints....JMHO......When has a running qb been great in the NFL??? the only ones i can think of that were good (not great) are Fran Tarkenton (and he was a scrambler...not a real runner) and Randall Cunningham

I was a huge Tarkenton fan. Growing up he was my favorite Giant player. Along with Brad Van Pelt. I was pissed when the Giants traded Tarkenton.

He is a tremendous athelete... that is the future quarterback... one who can move and throw... more and more college quarterbacks are the mobile type... Vince Young was the latest such person... remember when seneca wallace was doing the same thing... Donovan McNabb is yet another... there are many qbs that can both throw and run...
Vick has an absolute cannon for an arm, but not much accuracy.... the guy is only 26 years old... he has been in the league for going on 6 years now, but he is still a baby... I believe that he is an aboslutely fantastic playmaker, but he is no running back... the only place on the field for him is at quarterback... there are big problems when your receivers can not get seperation from the defensive backs all game long and when they drop the few passes they had a chance at catching... last night was as much their fault as it was the New Orleans secondary...
No qb would have had success last night if placed in his shoes... there was nothing he could do...

I agree... while I didn't watch all the game, it seems everyone wants to blame Vick for the loss instead of looking at the bigger picture. A bunch of revceivers that didn't do SHIT all night to help their QB.

I do not think anyone would have beat the Saints last night....Maybe it was the game plan....MY contention is that you will not win the big one with a run first QB....McNabb is not a runner anymore...He is more of a pocket passer....There are Qb's who could run...I mean Elway can run, but that is not what we are talking about......Vick is not a drop back passer, his accuracy is mediocre at best and he can run......Is that what you would want in your QB? I for one would not.....Do not get me wrong I am not happy about the Giants QB situation either, but i think if ELI pans out the way they say he will the upside is far greater.....I guess that brings the question, "what do you want from your QB"? If it is 75 yards rushing and a 11-21 for 155 yds and a bunch of commercials, then Vick is your man....

Yes you are right... it depends on what you are looking for... if you can center the offense around him and make a mobile line(if that would ever even exist) then you can take Vick... If you want the pocket passer who we have been accustomed to in the NFL, then he is not your man...
He is probably one of very few that coaches center their defensive gameplan around... and one of very few that on most occassions be able to adjust to that gameplan and force a whole new one upon a team... he is a dynamic player and I just don't think you can take that away from him... but he is not one of the top qb's in the league... maybe one day he will but I think he needs someone to get open once in awhile... I only saw last nights game from them this season, but that was pathetic on the part of their wideouts and a great job by the new orleans db's...
