Sports bettors put too much into a teams history. Why weren't the Falcon players questioning the Falcons disaster from 2005? At least the Saints had an excuse for a bad year in 2005.

I think it's funny that all the trends and stats point to how well the Falcon's have done against the Saints.....I guess they shouldn't have even played the game.....

The only fact is....This is a new season, a new coach, a new QB for the Saints and certainly a hell of a lot of motivation in this game. Brees has done very well...

True. But the recent trend history between these two teams favored the Saints. Cappers look at the trends and take them at face value.

Since 2000 Falcons are 5-7 ATS and 6-6 SU.

Since 1995 Falcons are 14-8 ATS and 16-6 SU

Since 2004 Falcons are 1-2. Who cares they were 3-1 SU?

I prefer the more recent trends.

and if they played again next week, the Falcons could just as easily do the same thing to the Saints, that the Saints are doing to Falcons tonight. We can all sound as smart as we want, but in the end it isn't much difference than flipping a coin. Maybe a slightly weighte coin, but that's about it.

i just cannot believe how much money was pouring in on the falcons tonite. i think the line opened last week at -3 and i saw it as high as 5.5 tonite.

people don't realize how much better the saints got just by hiring a competent coach and competent qb. ridding themselves of the haslett/brooks combo is enough for at least a 3 game improvment.
