  • NFL 6 Point Teasers

I decided to attach a pdf. It'll be much easier than typing the results in a legible format.

Sportbooks like Pinnacle charges 11/10 on two team 6 point teasers. If you are using a local or sportbook that scores ties as losses either change sportbooks or don't play teasers. You are giving away a huge advantage.

With odds of 11/10 a sports player must pick approximately 72.5% teaser winners to profit. (72.5%*72.5%=52.6%).

A few game line jumps out when playing teasers. 8 point dogs are a shocker. One would would think getting 14 points would be profitable. 7 and 8 point favorites do very well. Those favorites win their games SU and in the NFL there's not many 1 point victories eliminating many teaser pushes.

Favorites of 6 1/2 is interesting in that they perform poorly both ATS and in teasers.

Small dogs of 1 to 2 do well in teasers. Teasing those lines bring them to a TD dog. Same with 4.5 to 5.5 dogs. Bring them over the 10 key number.

Someone can correct me if i'm wrong, but I think Pinnacle charges even money on 2 team 6 point teasers, 11 for 10 on 6.5 point teasers and 12 for 10 on 7 points.

Here's what's interesting to me. Teasing 6.5 down is bad, teasing 7 down is good. Lines change daily. The Detroit Lions were favored by 6.5 yesterday, now it's 7, it might go back down.

A 6 point teaser in nfl is a waste of money. Skybook has the deal of the century as far as teasers go - 7 point tease ties win -25. Last year I think it was -10or -15 but still well worth it.

You think -125 is the deal of the century????

It's not a surprise that that many football bettors lose. Misinformed. Poor strategy. At Pinny for the extra point a player lays -130 instead of -110 for a 6 team teaser.

At -130 a player must play two games that have a 80% sucess rate to be profitable.

Wayne, as you probably are aware I wasn't always a big fan of teasers. After listening to you the past few years and my research I think money can be made if done properly.

                        Thanks for answering my question.

Better do the math brother. A 7 point ties win teaser is the same as getting 7.5. In nfl this is huge. Sorry if you don't see that.

The thing i love about teasers is that sometimes you can't pick anything but a winner in some games. This week there were 5 games on the board in which either team would have covered on a teaser. It's not like a parlay or straight wager where a guarantee of 1 winning and 1 losing in every game is the only option.

I also think books get taken behind the woodshed on some of these teasers. Think about it, Prime Time games are the worst. Everybody is focused on one game and one game only. They are for the most part playing the side with the total on a teaser if that's what they choose to play. Most other games are done so teasing a team with another team doesn't generally happen.

The 1st Sunday Night Prime Time game of the year was .......

                              Indy -3
                              NYG

                              Over/Under 47

Final Score: Indy 26 NYG 21

EVERY single teaser placed on that game cashed. Every single person who posted a teaser Won. Every Sportsbook in Vegas that accepted a teaser, every local bookie who accepted a teaser, Every Offshore and every teaser there accepted ... LOST!!! Lots of times in these games 3 out of the 4 options cover. Just something else to think about because you know the Books A$$ was sore after that Ind/NYG game!
