NFL: 3-3 (+2.6 units)
I imagine this will surely be a game of the year candidate, but who knows what the linesmakers will throw at us over the remaining 14 weeks of the season.
In a stroke of brilliance, the NFL set up NO to play two weaker teams (CLE and GB) early in the season. This allowed them to go 2-0 and now apparently they have sold out all games for the remainder of the season in the Big Easy. I'm happy for the Saints and the NO area, but admist all of the celebration next Monday night reality will come crashing down against one of the best teams in the NFC. This line actually opened at Pinnacle at (-3, +100). Unfortunately, I didn't pull the trigger fast enough.
ATL (-3, -130) @ NO --- to win 9.5 units
One thing I do not like about this game is Koenen K for ATL. That is the only reason I am buying this 0.5 point despite the research presented by frankb03. This guy is a huge liability. I think the Falcons win this going away by at least two TDs.
Don't over think this play. I think the Reggie Bush hype, Saints 2-0 start, and sentimentality towards the region have drastically skewed this line.
Also looking at the Eagles and Broncos. Anyone have any opinions there?
