Steelers (1-0) @ Jaguars (1-0)- Have to wait and see if Big Ben plays for Steelers, who've won three of last four visits to this site. Visitor won last three series games, all of which were decided by two or less points, or in OT. Underrated Jags won in OT at Heinz last year; they rallied from down 10-0 to beat Dallas last week, scoring three TDs in four red zone trips, and committing seven less penalties than Cowboys. Steelers held Miami to 38 rushing yards in opening win; Batch was 15-25/196 passing and 7-15 on third down, but Monday night road game would be much stiffer test for him. Jags lost leading pass rusher Hayward for season

Pittsburgh (-1 ½) at Jacksonville
Why Pittsburgh covers: Ben Roethlisberger most likely back; Steelers have four extra days to rest and prepare; Revenge for Pittsburgh after Jacksonville won in overtime last year on an interception return for a touchdown off backup quarterback Tommy Maddox, his fourth turnover of the game.
Why Jacksonville covers: Held Pittsburgh to 218 total yards last year; Defense extremely physical at home; Fred Taylor healthy and wide receivers appear improved.
Total (37): May go up with Roethlisberger looking to start.

Six-Pack for Monday
If I were a college president, six guys I'd want to coach the football team.............well, actually, seven.
6) Mike Price-- Lets see you win in Pullman and El Paso.
6a) If you eliminate Price because of StripperGate, then put me down for Coach Johnson at Navy. If you win in this day and age at a service academy, I'd hire you.
5) Jeff Tedford-- Cal was horrendous before he got there.
4) Jim Tressel-- Won four national titles in I-AA, one with the Buckeyes.
3) Urban Meyer-- Lets see you win in Bowling Green and Salt Lake. Not doing bad in Gainesville, either.
2) Mark Richt-- Seminoles haven't been same since he left.
1) Kirk Ferentz-- Has turned down NFL offers

Monday's List of 13: Wrapping up an NFL Sunday
13) Huge comeback by Giants kept them and Redskins from a two-game hole in NFC East. On their first seven drives, Philly gained 365 yards on 53 plays, with three TDs, two FG tries. After that, on their final six drives, Eagles had 53 yards on 25 plays, no points, and a very staggering home loss.
12) Falcons have 558 rushing yards in two games, third-most ever after two games, behind '75 Bills (OJ Simpson) and 1980 Lions (Billy Sims).
11) Tennessee was 13-38 passing on sunny day in San Diego I know they have Collins playing to protect the #1 draft pick Young from early shellshock, but they're staring at an awful, awful season. Total yardage Sunday was 476-218, Chargers.
10) Sunday was first time in 92 Chief-Bronco games that there were no touchdowns scored.
9) Raiders have had 25 drives this season; they went 3-out on 17 of them, with no TDs and two field goal attempts. Now the bye comes; with QB Brooks hurt, they have some to bring in another QB, or better yet, some new offensive linemen.
8) Jets were 11-18 on third down vs Patriots, as Mangini must have had good advice for Pennington, on how to play better against Belichick's defense. Problem was, they didn't get hot until they got down 24-0. Second meeting will be interesting.
7) Tough week to be Al Saunders; Redskins have one TD on offense in two games, and heat will be on, especially after the ugly loss in Dallas, with their only TD coming on kick return.
6) Funny thing about football; Rams' defense is better after a coaching change, but now their passing game is awful. Quick prediction: Gus Frerotte is starting QB before season ends.
5) Bizarre play of day came with Carolina leading 17-10 in 4th quarter at Minnesota; after fielding a punt, Gamble tried to lateral crossfield on a trick play, but play backfired and Vikes recovered. While lining up for FG, Minnesota then tried fake, and kicker Longwell threw game-tying TD pass. Definitely an odd sequence; I wouldn't believe had I not seen it.
4) Buffalo had just 66 passing yards and 171 total yards, but they got division road win at 0-2 Miami. Bills had an average starting field position edge of 16 yards. Culpepper had been sacked three times and fumbled twice before 1:30 Sunday.
3) This whole Matt Millen thing isn't going too well in Motor City; Lions got lit up by Rex Grossman Sunday (21-28/294) in Chicago's 34-7 demolition of the 0-2 Lions.
2) I love watching Brett Favre play, and think he still has lot of game, but he threw one of the worst INTs I've ever seen an NFL QB have Sunday. Pack had ball 1st-and-goal on Saints' 7 on their first drive of second half-- it had taken over 7:00 off clock, but Favre threw hideous jump ball in end zone, which Saints picked off to preserve 14-13 lead. Just an awful play.
1) Saints are 2-0 with two road wins, first time in their sordid 40-year history that they've pulled that off. Signing QB Brees seems like a stroke of genius. What a Monday night game in Week 3: 2-0 Falcons at 2-0 Saints, in reopening of Superdome.

You're sure welcome, tech fan! I can't take any credit, though. We're getting this stuff from outside sources. They're the ones doing all the work. We all just think it's a good thing to put it all into one place.
Hope it's helping, tech! Good luck today!

MLB Top Five Hitting Teams
Minnesota Twins
Is there anything the Minnesota Twins can’t do?
Minnesota’s hitting .314 over its last 10 games while holding the opposition to just 3.18 runs per game. As a result, the Twins are 7-3 straight up over this 10-game stretch.
The Twins play has also led to a convincing 7-3 O/U record mainly because oddsmakers have refused to set Minnesota’s totals anywhere over 9 ½ runs.
If the books continue this policy, and the Twins continue to swing hot bats as they travel to Boston and Baltimore this week, than it`s likely that over bettors will continue to cash in.
Oakland A’s
The Oakland A’s have gone a long way over their last 10 games to dispel the notion they are the worst hitting team in all of baseball.
All told, the A’s are hitting .303 and averaging over 5.7 runs per game over this stretch. That’s 40 percentage points higher and one run more than their season averages and has helped total bettors cash with Oakland playing over the total in seven of those games.
However, their pitching can also be been a cause for their O/U record with the team giving up 5.17 runs per game. This is the main reason why they are just 6-4 SU over their last 10 games despite their hot bats.
Kansas City Royals
The major league’s worst team is playing some pretty good baseball.
The Kansas City Royals are 7-3 over their last 10 games with the team hitting .298 and averaging 6.7 runs. This streak includes series wins versus the Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners.
The gravy train looks like it could be coming to an end though as the Royals finish up with a horrendous run of games. After Sunday’s series finale with Seattle, they host the Anaheim Angels and the Detroit Tigers before traveling to Minnesota and Detroit to end the season.
Toronto Blue Jays
We all knew the Toronto Blue Jays could hit. So when the team wins six of 10 games while hitting .286 it really shouldn’t come as a surprise.
But what is surprising is the fact the O/U is 3-7 in those games. The biggest reason for this is a pitching staff that has been the best in the major leagues over the same 10-game stretch, giving up just 2.66 runs per game.
However, that stretch was against some of the American League’s lightweights and we should get a better idea of Toronto’s pitching staff over the final couple of weeks as the team finishes their schedule with six games against the Yankees and four against the Red Sox.
Washington Nationals
Alfonso Soriano is a special player.
The Washington Nationals outfielder became the fourth major leaguer to hit 40 home runs and swipe 40 bases in one season.
To help him out the Nats are hitting .286 and averaging 5.8 runs per game over the last 10.
Unfortunately, for how good the Washington bats have been, the pitching staff has been just as bad with a brutal 6.78 ERA over the stretch. Given these numbers, it should come as no surprise the O/U is 7-3 but the Nationals are only 4-6.
Those pitching numbers could improve coming down the stretch though as the Nats play NL East rivals the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets, neither of whom are hitting over .253 over their last 10 games.
