I lost an over Wednesday night when the Cubs managed to get shut out against a lousy pitcher. One real strong play tonight.

    2* Cardinals -105
St. Louis starter Suppan has been baseball's best pitcher the last three weeks. He's given up one (yes, JUST ONE) earned run his last 27 2/3 innings! This is a very small number to play on a pitcher that hot. Jason Schmidt, on the other hand, has a 5.96 ERA his last five starts. St. Louis is 44-27 at home and San Fran is just 32-39 on the road. Both of these mediocre teams are fighting for a playoff spot, only because the NL is so rotten. But tonight we have a pitcher on fire at home against a poor road team at even odds. Great value. This is only my second top play of the entire season.....although the other one did lose.

    Opinion only: A's

Thanks for the post, I just bet it myself, but it looks funny getting St Louis at home at a pick.
      Good Luck to us!

That's one of my picks too, but I also mentioned that the line looks funny but I can't see SL losing if Supan keeps pitching like he has at home.

Giswold - I just found this info. on another site..

Update: Schmidt could miss his scheduled start Friday after feeling tightness in his back, the Giants’ official site reports.

This might bode well for the Cards. Good luck!!

I do want to clarify that ALL of my plays are listed pitchers.

If schmidt doesn't go, it'll be a no play for me.
