  • Ohio St/Cincy

Heard this on Colin Herd this morning.

    Make pretty good sense.

Cincy HC is a friend with Tressel. I think he used to work for him. Emotion were up late week beating Texas and possibly down this week against a weaker opponent. They then play Notre Dame Next week and looking for revenge for last year lost.

Tressel won't run the score up on his friend.

lines open at -31 and now down to -29

Cincinnati coach Mike Dantonio was the defensive coordinator for Tressel at Youngstown State and followed him to Ohio State in the same capacity. Dantonio was defensive coordinator during the 2002 National Championship season. Tressel might let up a little bit, but how much will they up when he does it? It'll be close.
Circumstances do not make the man; they reveal him.

Ohio St. did play ND last year in the Fiesta Bowl but won't play them this year unless its a bowl game again.

But I do like the logic on the relationship between Tressel and Dantonio.

        Good luck!

Great Play...Love it! Tressel will not run up the score up in this game. Ohio St. may even be up by 4 touchdowns at some point. In the end Cinci covers...Tressel lets up on them out of respect for his buddy. Can't get this kind of play in the NFL!

A couple notes from someone who lives in the Cincinnati area and has a brother on the team: they are one of the 15 worst teams in the country, hands down. Luckily he's hurt and won't be playing this week. Just as a disclaimer though as well, I'm a life-long Ohio State fan. But, in this instance, I have no bias either way. Having said that, I wouldn't make either side of this a big play. I'm betting Ohio State and the over small so I have something to root for when I'm there Saturday, but I wouldn't do anything large either way. GL!

Cowherd is a gambling advocate, and he LOVES college football. Puting aside his arrogent personality, he does his homework and puts up well thought out picks every week. I'm not sure what his record was last year, but he claims to never have had a losing year. First week he was 1-4, last week he was 5-1. I'm not saying that he is someone to follow, but he does do his research and you may want to take his picks and dig further. Just a thought!
