I snapped out of a brief slump with an easy OVER Monday night on the Twins/A's.
1* Cubs/Dodgers OVER 8 1/2 (+100)
I like this total as much as any I've seen all year. Here's a fact you probably didn't know: the Cubs 9 of their last 10! Tonight's pitching matchup points to lots of runs. Guzman has been absolutely shelled in three of his last five starts and has a whopping 11.14 ERA over that period. Even better, the Cubs bullpen has been heavily used the last two nights with seven pitchers going in last night's eleven inning game. Four of Penny's last five starts have been bad and the last two have been terrible. He's given up 19 hits in his last 11 innings. His ERA over the last five games is 8.31. That means we have two pitchers with five game ERAs of 11.14 and 8.31!!
The Dodgers also used seven pitchers last night. The Cubs are actually scoring runs of late with Derek Lee back in the lineup. (All my outlets have this game at 8 1/2 with low juice. If you can find an 8, jump on it but I love the play even at this number.)
Opinion only: Cubs (big dog in the above game; with two bad pitchers I see this as a tossup so the value is on the Cubs)
