Minnesota I believe is 4-12 against Detroit and play them 4 games this weekend;they will have to reverse that to have any chance at all of overtaking them.

I hear he is on a 45 pitch count in the minors and 60 when he gets back for the first game.

                          PEACE

                            Francisco Liriano, SP MIN

News: Francisco Liriano second bullpen session in three days went well. He wore spikes and threw full speed with a full array of fastballs, sliders and changeups -- 73 pain-free pitches in all. That leaves him just two more steps before a possible return to the Twins' rotation on Sept. 14.

Analysis: Liriano's scheduled for a simulated game on Thursday afternoon in Tampa Bay and then a Triple-A playoff start on Saturday (assuming that best-of-five series goes to a Game 4, which would be scheduled Saturday). He would be limited to about 45 pitches in that game. Then, five days later, barring a setback, he would be scheduled to rejoin the Twins' rotation for a 60-pitch start at Cleveland.
