    Houston intenially walks Howard to lead off the 9th inning in a tie game. I hope that comes back to haunt them.

    smart move. why let the hottest homerun hitter in baseball beat you? i would rather lose pitching to Burrell, Conine, Coste, and Nunez.

      I remember Ton Seaver telling me he used to do the same thing, except he wouldn't 'intentionally' walk them, but he purposely walked them. Then go after the next guy. He'd say, I'm not letting that asshole beat me....But Seaver was the shit, so I guess he could do that....

              I'm not saying it wasen't smart, I'm saying one less at bat for Howard. Although he did get to third base with only one out. I remember one time someone [I think it was McQuire] was walked with men on first and second. I can't remember how many outs there were, but it must have been two.
