  • TP's Week Two Plays

Will update record and post some reasoning after tomorrow night's game. I played these three early, and will be adding throughout the week. The games I am looking at adding are Air Force, Mississippi State, Virginia, Syracuse, Central Florida, and East Carolina.

5* California -7 (-105) - I plan on getting off a little of this, I think this line closes in double digits.
    3* Fresno State +3.5 (+109)
    2* Arizona +14.5 (+102)
    1* Ohio State ML +114

    Best of luck guys.
    Records:

    NCAA Hoops (38-34-2, +4.59*)
    NFL Sides (34-25, +12.15*)
    NFL Totals (18-14-1, +8.23*)
    NCAA Foots Plays (65-48-4, +21.47*)
    NBA Plays (4-1-0, +5.92*)

I'm pretty surprised Cal is still only 8, I made that line 13 and was planning on playing Cal. The difference in playing at Neyland Stadium against the second best team in the SEC and playing at home against the 7th best team in the Big 10 is only 5 points? Ummm, nawp. Drastic overreaction there.

I really like Fresno as well. They always go into Autzen Stadium and play well (last four games against Oregon were 3, 3, 4, and 3 point losses. Now, they get them at home, and they have been looking forward to this one, while Oregon may be looking to their showdown with Oklahoma next week.

Arizona is in a perfect spot. I always like defensive dogs catching this number (also the fact that this total is 43 tells me points are at a premium here), and the Wildcats have a pretty solid D that should keep up with an LSU offense that I feel is mediocre - they start the wrong QB for one thing.

Along with the plays I posted Sunday night, here is everything I played:

NCAA Plays (6-5-1, -2.44 units) - All from Pinny unless otherwise specified.

    Previously posted:
    5* California -7 (-105)
    3* Fresno State +3.5 (+109)
    2* Arizona +14.5 (+102)
    1* Ohio State ML +114

    2* Air Force +19.5 (+101)
Air Force faces a Tennessee team in a prime sandwich situation, and they have been great in their road openers (covered 7 in a row as a dog in that role), while Tennessee hasn't covered any of their last seven as a double digit favorite.
The Tennessee rush defense is good, but inexperienced, and they may struggle with the option attack, which I doubt they were spending much time focusing on this summer because of the important early games. The Falcons shorten the game, and lose by around 10.

    2* Texas Tech -7 (-105)
Great matchup for the Red Raiders here. They face a team off a phony final - UTEP was dominated last week at SDSU (outgained by 150 yards, yet won the game) - and Mike Leach's Red Raiders will hold no prisoners in what may turn out to be a neutral game, as Lubbock is barely more than 300 miles from El Paso.
UTEP's secondary is pathetic. Last week, they faced a mediocre passing team in SD State, who completed 80% of their passes for over 9 yards per attempt. The Miners haven't shown consistent ability to cover any team with multiple weapons, and the Red Raiders spread it around more than anyone. Their last four quarterbacks have all led the nation in passing, and none of them are playing in the NFL. This year's QB is Graham Harrell, and he will be a Pro Bowler one day. He will hit his tall receivers over the short UTEP DBs all day tomorrow.
UTEP has weapons offensively, but QB Palmer is turnover prone, and they will have to score on virtually every possession just to keep this one close.

    1* Colorado ML +110 - BetJamaica
Neutral site game. I understand why this line is what it is, namely because Colorado lost to a Division-II team (one of the best, still inexcusable, but it is being blown out of proportion), but this may actually be a step down in competition. Colorado State lost every playmaker they had - Holland, Anderson, and Bell - and the replacements aren't going to find it as easy against the Buff D as they did against Weber St.
The dog rules this series - 13 of 16 - and it happens again here, as Hawkins atones for last week.

    1* South Carolina ML +135 - Bodog
I don't think you can overlook the home field advantage here, as it will be difficult for Tereshinski, Stafford, or whoever is playing QB for UGA, as it will be their first road start. South Carolina's defense is confident off the shutout last week, and I think Spurrier finds a way to get enough points to win this one.

good luck TP. I guess we find out today if Cal's beating last week was because they came in flat or they came into the season overrated and just not that good. I'm going with with the latter.

                          Good luck with your picks
