I am no expert by any means, but I would think he collects only if he never plays again....Originally posted by molta02they said bush had a $2 million insurance policyThree Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

I believe thats correct. It might have something in there about if he cant play in NFL he can collect, but I'm not sure.Originally posted by Three JackI am no expert by any means, but I would think he collects only if he never plays again....
At least he gets something just in case, but I bet he will be fine.

Would be hard to prove that e didn't make the NFL because of the injury....who knows, but if it is a broken leg, he will be back.Originally posted by molta02I believe thats correct. It might have something in there about if he cant play in NFL he can collect, but I'm not sure.

A more interesting question that I pose to the forum is can he red-shirt? Or did he play too many plays? Knowing the NCAA, he probably can't....Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

I hate it for the kid becuse he had a very very bright future but my question is this.. Your in the 1st week of the season and playing a team like Kentucky that means NOTHING to you and your leading 31-14 in the 3rd quarter.. My question is this.. Why in the hell was he even in the game when the score was that bad in a non conference game?? Why not let the backups play and get that experience..

It was early in the 3rd against a bitter rival that they wanted to make a statement against. They wanted to get a big win for the polls and a HUGE Heisman start for Bush. Kentucky scored 2 quick td's late in the 2nd and i think that there was no reason to rest regulars to start the 2nd half. It was way to early!Originally posted by TMAC951I hate it for the kid becuse he had a very very bright future but my question is this.. The game was far from over. Kentucky just scored 2 unanswered TDs. It was too early in the game to remove Bush. Teams don't remove starters that early in the game.Originally posted by TMAC951I hate it for the kid becuse he had a very very bright future but my question is this.. Ask Bush if he wanted to come out of the game at half time. Ask any athlete if they want to ever come out of any game.

Its not a part of IF the athlete wants to come out of the game or not its all on the coach as to when he wants his star out.. They were up 17 points against Kentucky.. Why not let your backup RB's play and get some in game experience just in case something like this would have happened in a IN CONFERENCE game is what im trying to say.. Yeah i admit this could have happened on the 1st play from scrimmage in the next game but I as a coach would much rather have it happen when the game is still in doubt and not a 17 point lead against a team like Kentucky.. You never want stuff like that to happen to a player of any type more the less a player with the ability that Bush has.. And my last question to anyone about this is.. Would you rather have 1 of your starters hurt in a game that you were winning by 17 points in the 3rd quarter against a team like Kentucky or on the 1st play or during a game against the likes of Miami?? I wouldnt want it to happen but if i had to choose it would be a easy ass answer.. Thats the whole point of playing teams like Kentucky and shit is to have the 17 point leads and let the backups get that all important in game experience.. Thats just my opinion and i knowOriginally posted by frankb03The game was far from over. Kentucky just scored 2 unanswered TDs. It was too early in the game to remove Bush. TMAC,
Last year Louisville had a bigger lead at the half and Kentucky still came back in the 2nd half and almost won it. The Wildcats also had a ton of momentum going into the 2nd half and Louisville wasn't about to forget what happened last year.

T, one more little bit...don't forget the human element of the voting polls and whipping someone's ass on National TV is a bigger statement than winning by 21 or 24 points, especially when you may be a National Title contender.Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

Yes i understand that but let me ask u this.. Would you as a coach rather whip Kentucky's ass on TV and have your star running back hurt and out for the season VS letting backups get that all important in game experience and have your star still in the game against a team like Miami?? Now the backups will get ingame experience alright..Like i said i hate it for the kid..Originally posted by Three JackT, one more little bit...don't forget the human element of the voting polls and whipping someone's ass on National TV is a bigger statement than winning by 21 or 24 points, especially when you may be a National Title contender.
