You made a reference that you were right and i was basically flat out wrong for my beliefs, but that my friend is what makes people dig into their beliefs even more.....

I personally could not care...I love to debate, but i try to see the opposing pt of view...and i despise being dismissed as totally not well thought out or misinformed.....My opinion is explained very thoroughly and do not think it merits dismissal....

I just think that you can not connect teams from 9 years ago and 2 administrations together...Sure you can play the 97 team was on the 98 team and the 98 team had members on the 99 team and so on and so on, but i think as a U of Michigan grad you can see how much of a reach that is to the pertinence of the current team.....It has nothing in common as those 2....When there was a change at ohio state i could not longer lump coopers teams in with tressels....2 different generals and 2 different teams.....I really find it amazing that you can not fins ANY merit in that stance....

I can understand totally now. I do agree with the Cooper Tressel take, 100%. Michigan State really has no statistical trend to back the 7-2 that I state but I also feel that it can not go ignored....Mich State seems to play up for these games no matter who is the coach.

Mich State did flag plant last year after the W and ND has been pissed since that......Do I think what happened in 97 matters? NO.....do I think what happened last year does? SURE

I do not even know who started this thread but I did pay attention to what you had to say TTT......that should say something in itself.

if USc played Notre Dames schedule they would never win a title..............

Over the past few season USC is men playing in a boys league.

Overall, I was impressed with the game.

You can question the offense all you want, but there are SO MANY WEAPONS there, that no defense on that schedule is going to hold them to just 7 points like Tech did.

Gotta remember the Tech staff had all summer to prepare. And they did well.

Adjustments were made throughout the first half and at halftime, and you saw what they did after that.

Now the defense was GREAT. Take away Johnson in the first quarter and the Notre Dame defense shut him and the rest of the receivers down. No other receiver had more then one catch other than Johnson.

There was hardly any running game from Tech either.

All the questions were on the defense not the offense, and I think those questions were answered for at least this week.

If Michigan and Michigan State play the way they did yesterday, I think Darius Walker is going to have a hell of a month...cause he was fantastic yesterday.

It wasn't the best offensive day for Notre Dame but I came away still very impressed overall. They faced a team that beat the likes of Auburn and Miami last year, and came away with a win.

If they drop to 3 in the polls, who the hell cares, they'll be back up to 2 next week if they beat Penn State cause the loser of the Texas/Ohio State game will drop.
