Well, the Red Sox caused me to have a sleepless night last night. Hope they enjoy finishing third in the AL East.

MONDAY
Toronto Blue Jays +108 (Lilly/Haren)
I'm surprised the Jays are the dog here. The A's are pathetic against lefties, scoring only 4.0 rpg, and they face a pretty good one here in Lilly, who has been at his best at Skydome. He has a 3.38 ERA at home, and that's even better (3.07) at night, which is also when the Jays have been their best, going 23-13 with 6.4 rpg in home night games against righthanders.
Haren's recent numbers look good, but that's more the result of pitching at home and against weak opposition. The A's have also lost their last five on turf.
TUESDAY
Los Angeles Dodgers +131 (Hendrickson/Peavy)
Well, the Dodgers have been the best team in baseball recently, and they send Hendrickson to the mound, and his road numbers are among the best in the game (2.75 ERA in 11 starts). He certainly won't be intimidated in this ballpark, as the Padres haven't been able to score there all season - 3.9 rpg, and only 4.2 rpg against LHSP. In fact, this series has been dominated by the road team this season, to the tune of 8-3.
Peavy hasn't had a great deal of success in his home ballpark (4.54 ERA, 3-7 record) but he has been pitching better lately. Still, the Dodgers offense is really clicking right now, and I'll take them at plus odds in what I consider a true tossup game.
Seattle Mariners +126 (Meche/Wright)
Well, the Mariners have lost 11 in a row, the Yankees just finished sweeping the Red Sox, so why would I take the Mariners here? Well, for one thing, the Yankees won't give a damn about this game. They will have just won five in a row from their biggest rival, and now have to travel across the country to face a team they feel they can beat in their sleep.
I think they may have a tough time of it against Gil Meche, who won at Yankee Stadium earlier this season, and - though he has struggle his last couple starts - has had a lot of success at home this season (6-4, 1.2 WHIP, 3.75 ERA).
Jaret Wright is nothing special, and he doesn't last long in games. The cream of the Yankees bullpen has been used the last couple days, while the Mariners have been watching.
Best of luck everyone!
