i disagree here. Woods is the best golfer hands down. That isnt debateable. what is though is just how pathetic the rest of these pro's are. i mean time in and time out people just fold up like a cheap suit on sundays vs. woods. its not his fault, i just wish for once someone would give him a challenge. i mean when was the last time tiger was tied with a few holes to go on a sunday @ a major??

Dimer, the only dfference is is that Tiger is going out and setting course records in a lot of these wins. It isn't like he is scrapping by and shooting decent rounds to win. Some of his performances at these majors, not all, but some, have been unbelievable. As one of the announcers had said today, I think it was Feherty, if you had told him before the tournament started that someone would finish at -13, he woul dhave bet the house that would win...but he finished what, 4 shots behind?

I personally believe Tiger is going to be looked upon as One of thr greatest and arguabley ( as we see here ) THE GREATEST.....However, I think it takes a noteworthy opponent to challenge an athlete time and time again....
Ali had Frazier
Jack Nicholas had Arnie
and so on....

Until someone steps up and can compete consisitently with Tiger, I don't think he can wear the "Crown"

i know this. tiger is hands down the best golfer on the planet. My issue is why can no one even step up ever. tiger 12 majors never once came from behind on a sunday to win. he honestly has never been challenged. i'd really like to see that.

They cant step up Tiger is that much better than everyone else. It took Jack over 25 yrs. to win his 18 majors. Its took tiger 10 yrs. to get to 12. Tiger has won 12 majors by 56 shots, while Jack won his 18 majors by 44 shots.

i agree, but i wish the PGA would make tiger play in more events. i mean their is something like 30 tour events a year. tiger plays in less than 1/2 of them.

I think we are watching the greatest athlete in our life time. I've been treated with Wayne Gretzky and Michael Jordon. IMO Tiger is better. What he does is amazing.

I agree. People forget that in the late 90s Tiger was so much better than the field. The field caught up (almost). Tiger changed coaches and changed his swing. After a few OK years he's back on top by a large margin.
