1-0-1 yesterday, as Baltimore/Boston went well over, and TB/Oak pushed on the under.
Sunday's play is so square it's sick.
Baseball Plays (+3.05 units)
St. Louis Cardinals -115 (Marquis/Maholm)
Marquis has had a lot of success in Pittsburgh, and I expect it to continue here. He's only started there once this season, and he went 8 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run.
Marquis is actually having a better year than his numbers show. His ERA is 5.82, as compared to Maholm's 4.90, but Marquis's WHIP and record are clearly better, so that sort of balances out.
The Cardinals offense has been scoring a lot more than Pittsburgh this month. The first two games of this series saw STL's #4 lose to Pitt's #2, and STL's #5 lose to Pitt's #1. Now, it's #3 vs. #3, and I think the Cardinals salvage something out of the series.
The Cards are the best team in the league in day games (33-15) and the Pirates are the worst (12-36). That's good enough for me to lay the small number.
Good luck everyone!
