SF (Cain)/LAD (Penny) over 8.5 This one's basically a play based on umpire stats, Only 61% strikes, averages 11+ runs in his games BHP, etc. You get a reasonable over number in an afternoon game.
SD (Peavy)/Houston (Hirsh) under 9. Peavy's numbers are really good the last three games. So he appears to be in top form. This 6'8", 250 lb. rookie for the Stros is 13-2 with a 2.13 ERA at AAA Round Rock this year. Both bullpens performing well of late. Dan Wheeler hasn't given up an earned run since 1964 I don't think.
Milwaukee (Sheets) -125 over Atlanta (Barry). Sheets appears to be in good form right now. Barry, however, does not. His last 3 outings last month he pitched a total of 1 2/3 innings and gave up 7 ER.
Cards (Snell) -108 over Pitt (Weaver) I think Weaver's gonna be a Christmas tree today. And Snell pitches well on the road. Gerry Davis, BHP ump today, has a strong bias towards the road team this year (16-8).
Good luck today.
