Playing this one very early - Friday night game

Pretty easy winner Thursday with the Cardinals. I'm getting this one out real early, because I have no clue what direction the line will move, but I love it at the current price.

Baseball Plays (+3.04 units)

Minnesota Twins +100 (Garza/Burnett)
Matt Garza gets the start for the Twins, and he has been unhittable at every level at which he's pitched. He was the best pitcher in college baseball when he was at Fresno, and he tore up A and AA ball. He made five starts at AAA before coming here, and all he did was notch a 1.85 ERA and a 0.79 WHIP. Let's put it this way - before this season, a lot of people were saying he was their best young pitcher, even over Liriano.
His counterpart will be AJ Burnett, who is incredibly overpriced, in my opinion. He continues to fail to live up to his potential, and his career record is below .500. This season, he is 0-4 on the road with a 6.58 ERA.
The Twins have the best home record in baseball at 39-15, and the Jays are only 22-30 on the road. Minnesota hits righties better than lefties, the Jays don't. It all adds up to me playing the Twins here.

I have been waiting for this kid to come up. With the Twins beiing Goosegged tonight by Lead Tilley the bats should show up in force tomorrow night.

The det Pussy Cats were off so the boys only lose a 1/2 on em and should go for bear on the homestand. Look for the kid to on a pitch count though, but having said that the pen is WELL rested and solid.

They should be able to torch Burnett.

BURNETT BY THE WAY is a terrible road pitcher at only 1-4 and 1-2 as a road fav and gives up an avg pushing between 6 PLUS to 7 runs a game and ERA respectively....YECHHHH

IF NOT FOR THE KID GOING FOR MINN THE OVER may be a good bet too!

Appreciate the thoughts, almost exactly my line of thinking. I think tonight's results - probably a bit of a letdown after the back to back wins over the Tigers - help if anything, as you said.

Over definitely a good play in theory, I love doing that after a team is shut out. I may make a small play on the Twins' team total over 5.

Actually, the line was 4.5, I looked at it wrong earlier.

So, a couple small personal plays, in case anyone is interested:

Twins TT Over 4.5 (-105)
Falcons -4 (+114) - I like this better than -3 (-112) because of the weird preseason scores, and I actually think this one will be pretty ugly. Falcons much deeper at QB/RB positions (Schaub the best backup QB in the NFL - he actually shredded the Patriots starting defense last season in a regular season game - and the Pats backups have 24 career pass attempts). I can't see the Pats leaving in their starters very long on a turf field. Mora has had a very good record in the preseason, including going 4-1 last season.
