Ended up going 1-3 yesterday after my evening games went 0-2. Here are my afternoon bets for today:
Mets (-130) for 1.5 units - Padres are 1-5 last 6 on the road and are 3-9 last 9 overall. Mets are 19-7 last 26 day games and are 20-7 last 27 as favorites. Game starts at 11:10 am central so it's like Padres playing at 9 in the morning. Only reason not going 2 units is Chris Young has been great on the road. Mets have won 4 in a row and are the class of a week NL this year.
Padres/Mets under 8.5 (even) - Hernandez is 2-0 with a 2.57 era last 3 starts. Chris Young is 5-0 with a 2.42 era on the road this year.
over 9.5 (-125) Cards/Reds - last 3 starts Reyes is 1-2 with a 6.61 era and Arroyo is 0-1 with a 7.85 era. Both teams put up 15 runs last night with better pitchers in Carpenter & Harang going yesterday.
