    Six-Pack for Tuesday
-- For while last week in Vegas, comedian Norm McDonald was the chip leader at the World Series of Poker.
-- Speaking of America's favorite city, the NBA All-Star Game, as if it hasn't been taken seriously to this point, will actually be played in Las Vegas next winter. Hopefully, all the parties will end in time for the regular season to resume two days later.
-- Bengal-mania!!! Cincinnati's intrasquad scrimmage drew 9,400+ last Friday at Georgetown, KY College.
-- By the way, just in case Carson Palmer's knee isn't ready to start the season opener at Arrowhead, Bengals' backup QB is Anthony Wright. The Week 1 spread went up a half-point when that little tidbit came out.
-- Sitting in a bar Saturday night, most of the patrons had their eyes glued not to baseball game on the flatscreens, but to the X Games, where nitwit kids were doing flips on bicycles off a ramp. Every once in while, a collective gasp would sound in the bar, as one of the entrants crash landed in a very painful way.
-- Some joker actually gave Duke a vote for the Top 25 in a college football poll; their only possible defense is that they mistakenly thought it was a basketball poll.

      Tuesday's: You're having a bad day when....
      13) The first words you hear when the clock radio go off are…."Good morning, it is 7:00, and the wind chill outside is 23 below zero. Rise and shine!!!"

      12) You're watching the end of a high school baseball game; the team that is trailing sends up a pinch-hitter. You casually remark, "Hey, if this kid was any good, he'd be starting." The kid's mother is sitting right in front of you.

      11) You bet against the Red Sox and Mike Reilly is umpiring home plate. Absolute disaster.

      10) You're taking a shower in a hotel and the power goes off. Before you've rinsed off.

      9) You go into a crowded bar, and there is one seat open. You gladly take it, but quickly realize you are sitting next to not one, but two, obnoxious drunk guys, one of whom is ranting about a nearby group of women "all being lesbians…….."

      8) The horse you bet on wins, but gets taken down on jockey inquiry, which don't usually get upheld.

      7) Your very attractive female friend makes a point of telling you "....that I'd never ruin our friendship by dating you. Our friendship means far too much to me to do that."

      6) The "check engine" light goes on in your car, when you're thirty miles from home. At one in the morning.

      5) You order a meal in a restaurant; when the waiter brings it, you realize it hasn't been cooked. Not at all, as in totally raw, and its not sushi. Now you have to complain and send it back, asking them to cook it correctly. Very risky stuff. And yes, this one actually happened.

      4) You sit down at card game, and guy next to you introduces himself to you as "Slim".

      3) You're out on a date, you ask a question, and she starts her answer, "Well, my third husband……" This is never good.

      2) A police car behind you puts its flashing lights on, and you realize he's not in a hurry to get to Dunkin' Donuts.
      Or Krispy Kreme.

      1) You're a guy from New York visiting Texas, and is space of 24 hours, four people tell you "……….you talk funny". Your Texan friends don't disagree, but they do laugh……

            Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee
While out of the playoff picture, the Cubs have shown improvement in recent weeks by winning 10 of their last 14, including a four-game sweep over the Cardinals. Tonight Dusty Baker's team will open a series against Milwaukee, which has lost four of its last six and seven of its last 11. Getting the run line looks like a good play with the Cubs according to Dunkel, which has Chicago favored straight up by 1 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Chicago Cubs (+1 1/2). Here are all of today's games.

NP PM... I'M STILL UP IN THE MORNINGS FROM LATE NIGHT DJ SHIFTS. IF I DON'T SEE YOU ONLINE PM, THEN I'LL GLADLY GET OUT AN EARLY INDEX, OTHERWISE THAT'S YOUR GIG BRUDDA.
                    --------------------
KB, USE THIS WITH SPARK'S HOT PITCHER'S TRENDS. IT'LL HELP SUPPORT IT WITH A LITTLE MORE DETAIL.

                    Hot streaks:

Felix Hernandez (Seattle Mariners) - The Mariners phenom has been lights-out lately, sporting a 2.00 ERA over his last three starts. Hernandez has also surrendered only 12 hits over his last 18 innings pitched. Seattle hosts the Tampa Bay Devil Rays tonight as -185 favorites.

Chien-Ming Wang (New York Yankees) - The Yankees are -117 road favorites tonight against the reigning World Series champion Chicago White Sox because of Wang`s recent success. The crafty right-hander is 3-0 over his last three starts with a 1.57 ERA. Wang has surrendered only one homer over his past 23 innings for the Yankees.

                    Cold streaks:

Jon Lester (Boston Red Sox) - Lester has struggled after a stellar start for the Red Sox, and the rookie is now winless in three starts with a lofty 6.75 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP. He has allowed 26 hits in 17 1/2 innings for Boston. Despite his recent numbers, the BoSox are -161 road favorites tonight against the Kansas City Royals.

Tim Hudson (Atlanta Braves) - Although the bullpen is the biggest headache for Braves backers this season, Hudson is now quickly making bettors reach for Aspirin. Hudson is 1-2 over his last three outings with a queasy 7.27 ERA and .422 OBP against. The Braves are slight -107 favorites at home tonight against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Nate Robertson (Detroit Tigers) - After a strong start, Robertson has struggled to a 5.12 ERA in his last three games for Detroit. The Tigers are -135 favorites tonight at Comerica Park against division rival Minnesota.

                    Other notables:

Greg Maddux (Los Angeles Dodgers) - Maddux is 3-0 in his last three decisions with a 4.00 ERA. He allowed no hits and walked three batters in six innings in his first start with the Dodgers last week. L.A. beat the Reds that game 3-0 as +105 underdogs.
