tkim - I picked 4th and I ended up with Portis also....I think if you miss the "BIG 3" it is a crapshoot with the next 5-6 RB's

my top players
Larry J
LT
Shaun
Tiki
Portis
Peyton
T.O.
If you cant get 1 of these 7 players I would start lookin at WR's and come back and get some RB's late such as Reggie Bush, Dunn, C Taylor, W Parker, Chris Brown.
These types can be snagged in the middle rounds while you grab WR like Chad, S Smith, Marvin, Fitz, Holt,Randy Moss, Boldin
Im lookin to pick up LJ first, come back with 2 WR at 24 and 25and then pray I can still have Gates at 48 49 with a RB from the above
I can find a QB late
hypothetically my team would be LJ, Marvin, Fitz, Warrick Dunn and Gates......If I had these 5 I would feel confident v anyone

I think getting 2 Great RB's are imperative because you know some stars at that position will get injured too and you need a 2nd stud there!

WR for me are tough to spot so I like snagging the provens.......I saw way too many get burned last year picking these so called cant miss RB's and getting burned (K Jones, Julius Jones, Jamal Lewis, Steven Jackson etc (im sure I missed a few)
WR are crapshoots IMO later in the draft.......most will agree with you that RBs need to be secured early so I cant argue with that but I have to go with LJ WR WR and pray Gates is still around at 48 (fingers crossed)

He also only had an average of 12 carries per game. He had (207) carries on the season and split the rushes with Ricky Williams (168). Ricky is gone and their next returning rusher is Sammy Morris who had 16 carries for 58 yards last season. Ronnie Brown will be the man this year and Ricky won't be an option. Culpepper will also make this guy better because teams will no doubt fear the passing game more than they did in the past. He was also the teams 4th leading receiver with 32 catches in half the playing time. This season should be a HUGE one from Ronnie!

Originally posted by MtrCtyPimpIts true but I can always fins a sleeper back late in a draft.....I plucked Chris Brown two years ago and he was money for me and last year I was able to snag Thomas Jones late and Stephen Davis late and Mike Anderson late, I flipped them all a few weeks into the season

John Kitna. Basically the same theory, and he has high-potential receivers who are starting to produce a little more.
Whoever the Broncos name their starting running back. Every year they start an unheralded guy, and he always produces.Records:
