      Hot Streaks

      Francisco Liriano (Minnesota Twins) - Lariano is 2-0 with a 1.25 ERA in his last three starts. The rookie sensation is 12-2 overall. Lariano struck out 12 batters in his last start against Detroit, going eight innings and recording a no-decision. He`s given up only 13 earned runs in his last 10 trips to the hill. The Twins are -138 favorites today.

      Cold Streaks

      Russ Ortiz (Baltimore Orioles) - Ortiz is having a year to forget. The right-hander hasn`t won a game in four starts for Baltimore. He was 0-5 in six starts for Arizona earlier this season. In his last three starts Ortiz lasted only seven innings, sporting a 17.61 ERA. The Orioles are +179 underdogs today against the Blue Jays. The total is set at 10 ½.

      Ted Lilly (Toronto Blue Jays) - Lilly is 0-2 in his last three trips to the mound for Toronto. The lefty is 9-10 on the season, with only three wins against teams with a winning record. Luckily the Jays hurler faces the Orioles today as a -183 favorite. Lilly is 6-2 lifetime vs. Baltimore.

      Mark Buehrle (Chicago White Sox) - Buehrle is 0-5-1 in his last six starts, giving up 36 earned runs in that span. His last four trips to the mound have played over the total. The left-hander is 1-2 lifetime vs. the Angels and is 9-9 overall this season with a 4.74 ERA in 144 1/3 innings. The White Sox are listed as -115 faves today.

      Other notables:

      Esteban Loaiza (Oakland Athletics) - Loaiza hasn`t won in his last three trips to the hill. Four of his last five starts have played under.
