After the debacle of two days ago, I didn't post my lone play Friday (though I did mention it in the Dog of the Day thread), so of course it won. I hate being superstitious, but almost every gambler is. Anyway, I'm hoping to break a team's losing streak and my personal losing streak.
Baseball Plays (+0.90*) - Haven't been in the red since April, so it would be really nice not to lose on the...
Cardinals +101 (Reyes/Sheets)
As mentioned in the thread title, I'm very surprised the Brewers came the favorite in this game. It is obviously because of the poor play of the Cardinals the last week, but the Brewers aren't so hot themselves. They are actually scoring fewer runs per game than St. Louis both recently - 9 runs in first four games of this road trip (FYI: Milwaukee is in the midst of playing three series at parks named Coors, Busch, and Miller) - and for the year (4.8-4.5)
The Cardinals' home record (31-22) is miles better than the Brewers' road record (19-34). The Cardinals also hit righties better than the Brew Crew (5.0-4.4), have a far better bullpen, and Milwaukee's starting pitching advantage is minimal at best (Reyes has a better overall ERA, and his home ERA is under 4.00. Sheets hasn't started on the road since April, and he was rocked in that one).
Best of luck everyone!
