  • Steriods and the Hall of Fame

I heard the other day that Mark McGwire probably won't get voted into the Hall of Fame. Here's my question, are these voters just gonna guess who did steriods and who didn't, and vote accordingly? I think that's complete bullshit. They can't just guess. This era of baseball is what it is, if you're numbers deserve to put you, then you should be put in. Fucking OJ got away with murder, and you don't see me up in arms about it. Shit happens, the game of baseball is only ruined, if these assholes start playing god and deciding who is worthy. Maybe they should erase Doc Ellis' no hitter on LSD. Fuck the Hall of Fame, if Pete Rose isn't in, I don't want anything to do with it. Thanks for listening.

I don't think there's much of a chance that McGwire doesn't get in. Do I think he used steroids? Yes. He didn't need them though as he was a HR hitter when he came up. However, he wouldn't have had as many HR's as he did or beat the season HR total without them.

Him and Sammy Sosa were caught with a perfomance enhancing pills in there locker room that had very similiar effects like steroids. I can't remember the name, but MLB was the only sport that hadn't banned it. I believe not long after that they did ban it.

            Andro/pro-hormones

Although most steroid users would say that pro-hormones are basically worthless. I always assumed that he had those in his locker to draw attention away from the fact that he was actually using steroids. Who knows, though?

good topic weiner and i also do care.....If he does not get in it is a shame.....Until there is proof it can not be a random witch hunt...Furthermore, MLB knew damn well steroids were rampant during that era and did nothing to discourage it, nor were they considered against MLB rules (although illegal in the US).....so to have a double standard like that to me is BS......and for whoever gives a fuck...i think Rose belongs....
