Well, probably should have gone 2-0 yesterday, but as it is, 1-1, for no change in the units. A couple team total plays from Pinnacle today.
Baseball Plays (+2.90 units)
Atlanta Braves Team Total over 5.5 (+101)
Shawn Chacon has been giving it up at a Weaverian pace this season. His ERA is 7.00, and last five starts it was 13.24 before being moved to the bullpen. That will affect how long he can stay in this game - of course, he was only pitching 4.7 innings per start anyway.
The Braves should drill both Chacon and the Pirates pen. In July, the Braves had the best batting average in all of baseball by more than 30 points, and they are still hitting well even without Chipper. The Braves average 5.5 rpg against righties, but they score over 6 rpg against RHSP on the road, and 6.8 rpg against RHSP during the day.
Los Angeles Dodgers Team Total over 5 (+106)
Not much not to like here. Eric Milton's ERA is 5.38, his home ERA is 5.85, and his ERA last five starts is 6.00. He's a flyball pitcher, the type that gets murdered in Great American Ballpark.
Milton will face a suddenly hot Dodgers team who has scored over 7 rpg the past week. They have torched lefties this season, hitting exactly .300, and averaging 6.2 rpg against LHSP.
