I hope so!! We have a really good team right now without Sheff and Matsui and now our pitching staff is somewhat descent.. Hopefully we will pull away from everyone.. We do still have 9 left against Boston though

As a Sox fan I am not throwing in the towel, but personally I don't think Sox will be able to sustain the loss of Varitek in they way Yanks did with loss of Matsui, Sheffield, and Cano.
I simply don't thimk Mirabelli, Lopez or heaven forbid Suckaby can call a game the way Varitek does as well nor add the intangibles he adds to the game.
Lets face it-Sox with out Varitek, Wakefield and Nixon are hurting, and without the heroics of Ortiz, Ramirez and Loretta, they would be much worse off now than are.
Hopefully, Sox can adjust to the losses of the key players, but I have my doubts at this point.
