Thought I might just post some info on games that I find interesting.
First-Tough loss on the over with Minny being kept indoors by a rather perfect performance by Eaton. I mentioned sleeper in my writeup and had an uneasy feeling about it the rest of the day. I went back and found that Eaton was suppose to start 2 days earlier but had a stomach ailment. He was just itching to get out there and pitch- Don't bet against this guy anytime soon because he is "fresh" off 60 day rehab and has in the past some great pitching.
This game is intriguing and I believe Trachsel rebounds from a poor outing. Runs should be tough to come by.
I see some good pitching matchups and like this one actually the best. This game pits a pitcher who had a no- hitter going last time out and in a revenge mode and a pitcher who has performed well until his last 2 times time out with 8 days rest.
Florida/NY Mets - you pick
Scouting Report
By the time Trachsel makes his start, he will have gone eight days without pitching. He last started July 24 against the Cubs. The game against Chicago wasn't pretty; he allowed eight runs and 10 hits -- three home runs included -- in 4 2/3 innings, suffering his first loss in 12 starts. Trachsel defeated the Marlins in his first start of the season, April 7, allowing one run in six innings.
Riding a three-game winning streak since the All-Star break, Nolasco squares off against the team that gave him his last poor outing. On July 8, the Mets handed Nolasco his roughest outing as a big leaguer, nine earned runs in 1 2/3 innings. Since the break, the 23-year-old is 3-0 with an ERA of 0.41. Nolasco limited the Phillies to one hit in 7 1/3 scoreless innings, and was carrying a no-hitter for 6 2/3 innings.
NY is 12-4 on the ML on the road with a money line of -100 to -125.
NY is 10-4 on the road when the total is 9to 9.5.
Ny is 10-6 and 8-7 Over on Wednesdays.
NY is 17-7 against Left Handers and17-5 against them on the Over.
Florida is 27-14 on the Over versus division opponents.
Florida is 12-4 playing on Wednesday
