IMHO the biggest winners this season as far as making the trade deadlines are by far the LA Dodgers.. And coming in 2nd are the NY Yankees.. and honestly i dont understand why Cincy would trade Sean Casey to the Tigers.. What were they thinking there?? IMO the biggest losers are the Red Sox for doing NOTHING after the Yanks picked up Abreau and the Cubs for letting Maddux go for that shitty ass person in return..

Originally posted by Three JackI think the biggest winners today were the Dodgers and, while I am biased, the Mets. I think the Sox are the biggest losers.
Wouldn't teams who are a few games back be more of a loser for not doing nothing over the team sitting in 1st???

Let's face it, the Yankees HAD to make a move because THEY were the team chasing all year. As much as i wanted Boston to do something, they are still right there and if we lose the division well ... what else is new? We won the WS from the WC didn't we. I think even if N.Y. grabbed the division lead and Boston was fighting for the WC they would still lead that right now too.
So tell me, why are the Twins and CWS not BIGGER losers for not doing anything considering the division is almost out of reach and they are BOTH trailing the WC too???

LMAO.....look at this question (actually the poster's name) on Sportsnation chat. The moderator didn't even acknowledge that it was a goof.
Ronnie Belliard (St Louis)
Why did the Cards trade Hector Luna for me? He's younger, cheaper, and better. Maybe because I'm fatter?
GARY GILLETTE
Because the Cardinals, esp. Mr. La Russa, grossly overvalue veteran experience/leadership. Belliard this year is no better than Luna, at the very best.Every

Thats why..

I think Minn got rid of there weakest Link, even though Silva sucks also.Good Luck to everyone
